what is my Skin Type?

We all strive toward Normal skin, however there are many factors that can play into the current condition of skin. All skin types can benefit from daily cleansing followed by moisturizing, but different skin types have different needs.

Normal is balanced, neither dry nor oily. Skin is not prone to breakouts, flakiness, feeling slick or tight. Pores are generally small, skin's texture is smooth, with less likelyness to be prone to sensitivity or blemishes

Combination includes areas that are dry as well as oily, with the skin's T-Zone (forehead, nose and chin) commonly being oily, cheeks being either dry or normal

Oily produces an excess of sebum that causes the skin to appear shiny and feel greasy - especially throughout the T-Zone. If you've oily skin, you may be more likely to have enlarged pores, develop acne blemishes, be more prone to acne breakouts

Dry is typically dull and may become rough, flaky or even scaly. Skin often feels tight or less elastic, may be prone to showing more visible lines, becoming itchy or irritated

Sensitive can include normal, dry or oily with sensitive skin. Regardless of which of skin type you have, if you've sensitive skin, it may be red, feel like it's burning, itching or dry. These symptoms may be related to having skin that is more vulnerable to external irritants, it may be triggered by certain ingredients, like dyes or fragrance, as well as environmental factors

Aging characteriscs include moisture loss and dryness in skin, fine lines, deep lines, thinning of the epidermis, color/texture difference
